The Weekly Shonen Champion (週刊少年チャンピオン, Shūkan Shōnen Champion) is a weekly shōnen manga magazine published every Thursday in Japan by Akita Shoten. It contains many manga titles targeted at boys, including color spreads and news about the titles such as anime news and author comments.

'Little chan' Represents the image of a man with a mustache and wears a yellow and black striped hat, it is not only used as a mascot symbol for the Weekly Shōnen Champion, but also for the Monthly Shōnen Champion, and is also used as the logo mascot for the company Akita shoten.
The Shonen Champion was first published in July 15, 1969 and currently serializes the total of 21 manga titles, one of them being the Beastars series.
