A Shower of Antitoxic Mist (浴びて 解毒のミスト, Abite gedoku no misuto?) is Chapter 112 of the manga Beastars written and illustrated by Paru Itagaki, published in the Weekly Shōnen Champion of the Akita Shoten publishing house.[1]
Synopsis[]
Yahya takes off the blindfolds and looks at his old friend again. After 36 years since they separated, time did not have much effect on their appearance, but Gosha was silent. Yahya wondered if it was because he felt guilty for having abandoned him and secluding himself to family life. When Gosha decided to speak, his poison began to come out. He tells that when Komodo dragons get too surprised or too happy, the poison glands in their mouths open up. Even surprised to have his old friend in front of him, he decides to give him a hug. Gosha is aware that Yahya has a certain hatred for him for eloping with a female wolf, but he mentions that the Sublime Beastar would not come to his house just to talk about their old escapades. Yahya, angry at mentioning his Beastar title, kicks Gosha into his house. He yells at him that he doesn't want to hear the word "Beastar" out of his mouth, and that they were supposed to be the "Beastars" and Gosha ruined that dream. Yahya gives Gosha a blow to the face, and when trying to give him a second blow, he is stopped by Gosha who wipes his hand because he touched part of his poison. Gosha mentions that he is still the same monster, and Yahya puts the fight aside, because he confirmed that his old friend is still just as strong, only that he mellowed down a bit. Yahya mentions that he heard that he fought against a group of thugs and that for that reason he thought he wanted to go back to following the path they had when they were young. Gosha explains that he was just protecting his grandson and that he won't fight for anything other than his family. Yahya asks if his grandson is resistant to Komodo dragon poison, and Gosha explains that he is and also looks like a normal gray wolf. Yahya asks Gosha for his name curious to know if he is the same wolf that was involved in the incident on New Year's Eve. He confirms that his grandson is called Legoshi. Shocked by this revelation, he asks him if his grandson is strong?
