A Lethal Dose of Love, Marmalade Flavored (致死量の愛はママレード味, Chishi ryō no ai wa mamarēdo aji?) is Chapter 104 of the manga Beastars written and illustrated by Paru Itagaki, published in the Weekly Shōnen Champion of the Akita Shoten publishing house.[1]
Synopsis[]
The boys in room 701 start to annoy Jack because he started using Legoshi's hand-me-downs, at which point Jack receives a call from Legoshi's grandfather, saying that he recently arranged for the annual payment of Legoshi's tuition in Cherryton Academy, but that it was returned because Legoshi dropped out. Jack tells him that it required the signature of a family member to sign, and Gosha understands the abandonment of Legoshi, because that is the sad fate of the Komodo dragons. Society would not recognize them as relatives. Jack tells him that this is the right time for him to speak to Legoshi again.
Legoshi started working in a food restaurant where he has gained more confidence again with the herbivores. His coworkers are very friendly and do not reproach him for his appearance, they accept him as he is. After the majority of herbivores left, the carnivores wanted to invite Legoshi to the Black Market to celebrate his first day of work. Although he did his best to reject the offer, they know that he had an experience eating meat. His reaction to herbivores suggests that he eats meat to ease his abstinence from eating. He leaves, saying to himself that he will not eat meat again, but his body wants it. Frustrated by the distance he has to have with his friends, he decides to go home, but he meets his grandfather. Gosha takes a little of his venom and puts it in Legoshi's mouth. They both know that the Komodo dragon venom is ineffective with those of his kind. Legoshi tells him that this is a very peculiar greeting, and Gosha without saying a word hugs his grandson tightly.
