Cemented by Warm Sweat (温い汗に固められ, Nukui ase ni katamerare?) is Chapter 44 of the manga Beastars written and illustrated by Paru Itagaki, published in the Weekly Shōnen Champion of the Akita Shoten publishing house.[1]
Synopsis[]
After Legoshi tells Haru that he was the one that attacked her that night, Haru reveals that she was only pretending not to be aware, as there were times when she suspected Legoshi, but was confused by Legoshi's intentions of wanting to approach. Legoshi asks why Haru wanted them to be friends, to which Haru replies that it was because she enjoyed their time together. Haru says that what happens now depends on Legoshi; to have sex or to eats her alive. Shocked and undecided, Legoshi touches Haru's torso with his hands until he reaches her breasts where he accidentally hurts her with his claws. Continuing and deciding to lie down, Legoshi carefully tries to undress Haru, but is interrupted by Haru who asks him to stop due to instinctively trying to get into Legoshi's mouth to be eaten. Both holding back and distressed by his own instincts, Haru declares that maybe the relationship will work if they try hard, and asks Legoshi if he wants to continue. Legoshi refuses and asks them to stop. Haru reveals to feel little guilty. Legoshi nervously tells her not to worry and recommends that they go to sleep. Legoshi goes to bed feeling sorry for rising over Haru without considering her feelings. Haru takes Legoshi's tank top to wash while Legoshi wonders if he's an idiot for thinking that saving her would make Haru his. Later, Legoshi and Haru are lying down keeping their distance. Haru affectionately puts her hand on Legoshi's back, which makes Legoshi tearfully glad to have saved her.
The next day, as Legoshi and Haru return to school together, Haru thanks Legoshi for saving her, which brings out a smile on Legoshi's face. At the Meteor Festival plaza, the drama club is alarmed by the sudden disappearance of Legoshi and Louis just on the same day of the festival. Els mentions that Legoshi and a rabbit are suspected of missing curfew together. At the moment Legoshi arrives with Haru to everyone's surprise.
